I’m nearing the end of my residency in Yarmouth. It has been another productive, inspiring residency, which has given me energy and focus. I hope to take these back with me to the city.

Residencies aren’t only of benefit to my practice in that they allow me time and space and financial compensation to just simply create, but also in that they provide a period of time to settle back into routines that encourage my practice. I’ve been good to my physical and mental self: walking much more than usual, and among handsome landscapes, getting back into a yoga practice, taking time to be quiet and contemplative. They also put me amongst new ideas and artists, which further challenge and excite me.

Just a few thoughts today, and some photos of the work will follow, once I’ve documented them.
